Our Townsville (Trade Training Centre Bohle) is a $37 million state-of-the-art facility that trains more than 2,000 apprentices annually. The campus features a range of specialised facilities including a four storey plumbing tower, fully-fitted instrumentation laboratory, and state-of-the-art thermostatic mixing values (TMV) and backflow testing laboratory. Automotive students will learn how to perform a range of servicing operations on light and heavy vehicles within a mechanical service or repair business in our custom-built automotive training workshop.

Our automotive and engineering students learn hands on in our fully equipped automotive and engineering training workshop. Learn on the same equipment and tools used in industry with access to engines, hydraulic pumps, metals and synthetic metals, starter motors, turbos, and well as Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG), Metal Inert Gas (MIG) and arc welders. Our modern, purpose-built salons give our hairdressing students an opportunity to put theory into practice and gain practical skills in a real-world environment. The fully-operational salons are set up like a real life hairdressing salon with reception desks, hair washing basins, work stations, mirrors, salon trolleys, heat dyers and accelerators. A full range of hairdressing tools and equipment including training mannequins are available for students to practice their styling techniques. We use the same products and facilities found in a real salon and offer a range of services such as styling, cutting, colouring, perming, and chemical straightening. Learn more

The George Coates Training Restaurant and our L-Plates Cafe give our hospitality students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a real-world environment. While our cookery students are busy in the kitchen, our hospitality students manage the front-of-house, preparing and serving food and beverages to paying customers.
