TAFE Queensland has a comprehensive range of student support services to assist you throughout your studies. In addition to disability, counselling, and learning support services that are available to all students, we also have dedicated support services for our international students.
International student support advisors
Our team of international student support advisors can help you settle into life in Australia and provide support and assistance to help you with your studies. If you're ever feeling confused, or aren't sure who to ask for help, our international student support advisors are here to provide assistance or connect you with the right person to help you.
Ask an international student advisor if you have any questions about:
- finding accommodation
- setting up a bank account in Australia
- how to use the public transport system in Queensland
- dealing with homesickness or culture shock
- Overseas Student Health Cover or local health services
- student visa conditions including attendance, academic performance, and employment restrictions.

International student hubs
Students hubs are a welcoming and support service for international students in Queensland. Run by local multicultural and community organisations, the hubs provide access to free WiFi, information, support, events and contacts to enhance your student and study experience. There are currently student hubs located in Brisbane, Cairns, and on the Gold Coast.
